On August 19 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Qualifier 2 of the LPL 2023 pits OoGalle Titans against B-Love Kandy.
After being in danger of being eliminated, the Titans, headed by Dasun Shanaka, staged an astonishing comeback to place second in the points standings. In Qualifier 1, they faltered against the Dambulla Aura and lost by six wickets.
The Titans were bowled out for 146 in 20 overs after being given the opportunity to bat first. Lasith Croospulle, the first hitter, scored 80 runs off 61 balls, including seven fours, but no one else contributed. With two deliveries left, The Aura successfully evaded the target.
At the conclusion of the league stage, Kandy, in contrast, dropped two straight games. When they faced Thisara Perera’s Jaffna Kings in the Eliminator, they were back to their best. By outscoring the opponents by 61 runs, they established their dominance.
Wanindu Hasaranga, the captain, took the initiative once more and was named Player of the Match. He hit two sixes while scoring 19 off of 11 balls, and he finished with unbelievable figures of 3.2-0-9-6 as Kandy bowled the Kings out for 127 in 17.2 overs.
