Ireland vs India

Star bowler Jasprit Bumrah will skipper the Indian second-string team against the host nation of Ireland for Team India’s forthcoming assignment in the United Kingdom (UK). The senior bowler Bumrah will make his comeback to international cricket during the forthcoming three-match series against Ireland. Due to a persistent back problem, Bumrah missed approximately 11 months of action.

A fully fit Bumrah will be replaced by Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad for the Ireland series. Since India’s home T20I series against Australia in September of last year, Bumrah hasn’t participated in a competitive game of cricket. Additionally, Bumrah missed the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup last year. Along with pace ace Bumrah, speedster Prasidh Krishna will be making his return following a protracted injury absence. Prasidh has been out since India’s tour of Zimbabwe in August of last year due to a spinal stress fracture.

Jitesh Sharma, Rinku Singh, and Shivam Dube are among the players who play for India’s second team. After the West Indies series, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mukesh Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Tilak Varma, Avesh Khan, and Sanju Samson all kept their spots in the Indian T20I team. The second-string Indian team, led by Bumrah, will look to avenge their Caribbean defeat to the West Indies by winning this match.
