Team India to perform without a head coach

Head coach

A second-string Indian side is scheduled to tour Ireland for a three-match T20 International series following the end of the current India vs. West Indies five-match T20 International series. The T20I series between India (IND) and Ireland (IRE) will start on August 18. The second and third games of the three-game series will take place at The Village in Dublin on August 20 and 23, respectively. Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who hasn’t played a single match for the national team since September of last year, will captain team India against Ireland in the T20Is, making his long-awaited return to international cricket. This is a huge boost for the Men in Blue ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023

No Head Coach for Jasprit Bumrah-led team India in INDIA vs IRELAND T20 International series?

It has been revealed that the Indian squad will tour Europe without a head coach, which is a stunning event. Rahul Dravid, the team’s head coach, won’t be going to Ireland because he is now with Rohit Sharma and company in the West Indies. VVS Laxman, the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), had been scheduled to go to Ireland with the Men in Blue in Dravid’s absence, as it had in the past. However, as Cricbuzz reported on August 11 (Friday), Laxman won’t be going to Dublin with the Indian delegation for the T20I series.

Laxman and Dravid’s absence will boost the workload of seasoned professionals on the coaching staff like Sitanshu Kotak and Sairaj Bahutule.
