India vs Ireland

The current T20I series between Team India and the West Indies has gotten off to a rocky start, with the series opener being lost by four runs and the second T20 match being lost by two wickets. As they prepare for their next series against Ireland, the Men in Blue are in a difficult position. The series against Ireland will provide its own set of difficulties because the most of the important players are resting in order to concentrate on the upcoming Asia Cup and ODI World Cup.

India will tour Ireland in August 2023 for a short T20I series of three games. However, because to the busy schedule ahead, some first-choice players will be rested for this series, changing the makeup of the team. Notably, the team’s captain against the West Indies, Hardik Pandya, won’t play in the Ireland series. Players who are currently competing in the Caribbean series, such Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav, will also be missing.

Jasprit Bumrah, an Indian pace bowler, will make his comeback on the Ireland tour and assume the team’s leadership role. After suffering a serious back injury that kept him off the field in September 2022, Bumrah made several attempts to get back in shape before he could return to play. after a successful back operation in March of this year. In recent sessions at the nets, the 29-year-old has been actively working on his recuperation, practicing his bowling a lot. His physical condition has been approved for the Ireland T20Is. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who will act as Bumrah’s deputy, would support him in his leadership responsibilities.

The India team features a blend of seasoned pros and up-and-coming talent, with some young cricketers winning their spots. Three T20Is will be played in the Ireland series over the course of five days at Dublin’s Malahide Cricket Club Ground.

The next T20 series is extremely important for Ireland’s national team as well because it will be their first T20 match since qualifying for the T20 World Cup in 2018. As a critical component of the team’s preparation for the future T20 World Cup, which is set to take place in June 2024, this series is being treated with cautious thought.
