After contacted by England’s team management for the forthcoming Ashes series, which begins on June 16, all-rounder Moeen Ali, who had announced his retirement from Test cricket in September 2021, is reportedly considering rejoining the team. The English spinner said in October that head coach McCullum had discussed a possible return to Test cricket with him, but he had turned down the idea.
On Moeen’s return, English pacer Broad referred to it as “hypothetical.”
