Parul Chaudhary of India took first place in the women’s 3000m steeplechase race at Track Night NYC.
The 28-year-old Chaudhary won the event in a time of 9:41.88, more than three seconds slower than her personal best of 9:38.09 from the World Championships the previous year. Chaudhary is presently training in the USA.
Lili Das finished third in the women’s 1500-meter meet, a bronze level World Athletics Continental Tour competition, in 4:15.23 on Friday.
At the Sound Running Track Festival, a World Athletics Continental Tour silver category competition, held in Los Angeles, California, earlier this month, Chaudhary set a national record in the women’s 5000-meter race.
