Top Indian stars, including PV Sindhu, expect a strong performance at the Asian Championships

After serving a doping sentence, Test cricketer Zubayr Hamza will make his comeback to international cricket in June after being selected for the South Africa A squad to tour Sri Lanka.

Hamza, who has participated in six tests and one One Day International for South Africa, received a nine-month suspension last year following a positive drug test.

According to his statement to the ICC’s Integrity Unit, Hamza had planned to take his own anti-allergy medication but mistakenly drank his father’s heart medication, which contained the illegal drug Furosemide.

Hamza has participated in four first class matches in South African domestic competition since the suspension was lifted in December.

The team, which consists of eight test players, will play Sri Lanka A in three one-day internationals in Kandy and two four-day contests in Dambulla.
