Suryakumar Yadav, the swashbuckling Indian batsman, remained at the top of the new ICC Men’s T20I Batters Rankings revealed on Wednesday. Suryakumar, who has had a rough patch recently, has remained unchanged atop the ICC list with 906 rating points, more than a hundred points clear of Pakistan’s second-placed Mohammad Rizwan (798). Surykaumar, the only Indian batter in the top 10, had a fantastic year in the format in 2022. He built on his strong performance in earlier this year’s series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

Former captain Virat Kohli is the next greatest Indian batter on the list, ranking 15th.

Arshdeep Singh, the top-ranked Indian bowler, is 14th, while veteran seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has fallen a spot to 19th.

Hardik Pandya is ranked second among all-rounders, after leader Shakib Al Hasan.

Haris Rauf’s ten wickets in three T20Is propelled Shadab Khan to the top of Pakistan’s bowling rankings.

In the present T20I series, Rauf took back-to-back four-wicket hauls against New Zealand, claiming Player of the Match in the first game.

Last week, he was slightly ahead of Shaheen Afridi and below Shadab Khan, who was ranked 12th in the T20I bowling rankings. Rauf has risen five places in the rankings to 11th after taking ten wickets in the first three T20Is.

Meanwhile, Ish Sodhi (620) and Shaheen (624) have risen four and two positions, respectively, while others around them have dropped points.

The second significant shift in the rankings came from Sri Lanka, as Prabath Jayasuriya maintained his incredible start to red-ball cricket.

The left-arm spinner had a ten-wicket match haul against Ireland in the opening Test, his second in a six-match Test career.

Jayasuriya has already taken 43 wickets in six Tests, including five five-wicket hauls. A career-best seven-wicket haul in the Galle Test against Ireland propelled him into the top 20 of the ICC Test bowling rankings.

With career-high ratings of 669, Jayasuriya became the highest-ranked Sri Lankan bowler in Test cricket. Ramesh Mendis (576), who jumped three spots after a four-wicket haul in the second innings of the Test against Ireland, is ranked 32nd.
