The Indian Premier League has become one of the priciest competitions in cricket history. In all facets of the game, the T20 league is renowned for developing outstanding talent. Leading cricketers like Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Shubman Gill, and many others have contributed to the IPL over the years. The anticipation and enthusiasm are growing daily as the 16th season of the lucrative league approaches. In a recent panel discussion hosted by Jio Cinema, former players Chris Gayle, Anil Kumble, Parthiv Patel, Robin Uthappa, Scott Styris, and Aakash Chopra shared their predictions for the IPL 2023 breakout player.

Kumble started the conversation by addressing Jio Cinema “It’s fantastic to see Arshdeep Singh develop into what he has accomplished for India after having worked closely with someone like him. From a bowling viewpoint, I would love to see Arshdeep emerge as the next big thing, and from a batting one, Ishan Kishan is fantastic with the possibilities he has, so I think he has what it takes to be a superstar.”

With 10 wickets in six games to end as India’s leading wicket-taker at the 2022 T20 World Cup, Arshdeep proved to be a valuable asset for Team India.

As the conversation continued, former India wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel named Mumbai Indians batter Tilak Verma and bowler Umran Malik as his two top options for the best players.

“Mr. Umran Malik. I believe a player who is quick, bowls well, and has already represented India can become a superstar. having not seen Tilak Verma in a while, from a batting perspective. I had the chance to watch him play cricket and support him as he developed. He also has the capacity to lead a group, thus I believe he has the makings of a future leader “Parthiv Patel stated.
