Sourav Ganguly, a former captain of the Indian cricket team, named Suryakumar Yadav as one of the top five young cricketers to watch in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The former BCCI President was recently asked to choose players who, in his opinion, will become household names in the game. Before including Shubman Gill of the Gujarat Titans, Ganguly immediately mentioned Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and fast bowler Umran Malik in the lineup. Big names like Shreyas Iyer, the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders, were conspicuously absent from his response.

“Suryakumar Yadav is the absolute finest in the industry. Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant are two young players who have a lot of potential for the T20 format, despite the fact that you no longer consider him a youthful player. He’s just 23. (25). Rishabh Pant is the No. 2, and he has the entire globe at his disposal. I’d continue to observe Ruturaj Gaikwad’s performance. They are the three batsmen, in my opinion. Umran Malik is one player whose true pace will likely, assuming he stays healthy, keep the supporters interested in the game.”

Ganguly was questioned about Shubman Gill by Harbhajan Singh, who was watching the show, and the former captain immediately added him to his list. “Yeah, exactly; that’s the name that I forgot. But I believe Shubman Gill would be my fifth player. Hence, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Umran Malik, and Surya are on the list “He smiled as he came to an end.

Pant will miss the competition owing to injuries received in a vehicle accident, but the majority of the players on the roster will have a wonderful chance to establish their individual IPL legacies.
