R Ashwin Spotted At TNPL Auction Table, Fans Can’t Keep Calm

Unquestionably, one of the best minds in cricket right now is Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin is an extraordinarily successful cricketer because of the way he researches his opponents and comes up with plans to defeat them. Yet Ashwin’s contributions to his teammates go beyond his performance on the pitch. Ashwin also developed into a strategist in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2023 auction, assisting Dindigul Dragons in securing their desired players from the bidding war.

Ashwin has consistently worked his magic on the 22-yard strip as one of India’s go-to spinners in the two Test matches against Australia thus far. India now leads the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series 2-0 thanks to the bowling partnership of Ashwin and Jadeja.

In fact, Jadeja’s outstanding performance in the first two Tests against Australia propelled him into the top 10 of the ICC Test bowling rankings. With 17 wickets from the two Test matches, the left-arm bowler leads the Border-Gavaskar series and has rocketed to the ninth spot in the bowler rankings. Jadeja is the third Indian in the top 10, joining Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin.

James Anderson, 40, now holds the pole position, with Ashwin currently occupying the second spot. Ashwin poses a danger to Anderson’s top status in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with the momentum he is currently playing with.
