17 bids will compete in the BCCI’s January 25 auction to purchase the five women’s IPL franchisees ahead of the league’s debut in March, including seven corporations who control men’s IPL clubs. The five winners will be chosen through a closed-bids procedure at the auction, which will take place in Mumbai on Wednesday in the afternoon.

As part of clearing the technical-bid process, the BCCI specified a number of eligibility requirements for bidding, one of which being that the bidders must have an audited net worth of at least INR 1000 crore as of March 31, 2022. On the deadline day of Monday, the technical proposals were filed by the organizations that control the IPL teams Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Delhi Capitals.

The other three men’s IPL teams, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, chose not to participate in the bidding process despite having purchased the tender paperwork.

Adani Group, Capri Global, Haldiram’s Group, Torrent Pharma, Apollo Pipes, Amrit Leela Enterprises, Shriram Group, and Slingshot 369 Ventures Private Limited are just a few of the companies that will be included in the financial offers.

When is the next WIPL Player Auction? For the WIPL Player Auction, no dates have been set in stone as of yet. The player AUCTION, however, might be planned for the second week of February, according to BCCI sources, assuming the WIPL Teams AUCTION on Wednesday proceeds without a hitch.
