India's team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka finally includes Jasprit Bumrah.

After spending three months away from the national team, Jasprit Bumrah has been re-inducted into India’s ODI squad for the three-match series against Sri Lanka.

Bumrah has been receiving treatment at the National Cricket Academy of the BCCI in Bengaluru since being sidelined from play in September of last year due to a stress reaction in his back. T he national selectors have found his rehabilitation to be sufficient.

He is believed to have increased his practice schedule and bowling during the past week, which led to his selection to the team. The BCCI released a statement saying, “The pacer underwent rehabilitation and has been approved by the NCA.” Soon, he will be a member of Team India’s ODI group.

The final report is that Bumrah was fit when India’s team for the T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka were revealed on December 27. However, the selectors were hesitant to rush him back due to the manner his back ailment had recurred during the home T20Is against Australia last year. Bumrah was consequently disqualified from the Australia 2022 T20 World Cup, where India fell to England in the semifinals.

With Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, and seam-bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the mix, India’s pace attack for the series against Sri Lanka is nearly at full strength thanks to Bumrah’s selection in the ODI team.

After the three-match T20I series, which starts on January 3, India and Sri Lanka play three one-day internationals (ODIs) on January 10, 12 and 15.
