India’s Suryakumar Yadav has shared the tips Rahul Dravid gave him during their initial conversation. When Suryakumar was hitting in the nets, Dravid allegedly instructed him to keep things simple.

Suryakumar Yadav, an Indian batter, has disclosed the counsel Rahul Dravid gave him during their initial conversation. In the nets, Suryakumar claimed that Dravid instructed him to keep things straightforward.

According to Suryakumar, who spoke to Hindustan Times, Dravid approached him while he was playing in the nets in Kanpur and advised him to keep things simple and enjoy his batting.

“When I was batting in the nets during the Kanpur Test, he (Dravid) remarked, ‘You are looking fine. Just curtail a few strokes and be yourself. At this arrangement, the goal is still to score runs in the end. He advised me to keep things straightforward and to enjoy what I was doing, said Suryakumar.

The 32-year-old claimed to be reaping the rewards of his sacrifices and labor over the previous 10 to 15 years.

“It is the result of all the effort and sacrifice that my family and I have put forth over the past 10 to 15 years. I’m currently simply taking in the fruits, and I’m extremely content to be here, said Suryakumar.
