Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, is renowned for his clever responses, and he provided the best response when presenter Murali Karthik questioned him about the main worries before the forthcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. The right-handed batter delivered a perfectly timed sarcastic response, noting that Suryakumar Yadav’s performance is the biggest cause for concern going into the main event. Even Rohit laughed out loud after responding to the query.

When asked what his top worries were, Rohit responded: “There are many areas that need our attention when it comes to areas of concern. Surya’s form is a major worry right off the bat (laughter).”

After scoring 119 runs in three games against South Africa, right-handed hitter Suryakumar Yadav was named Player of the Series. The player hit half-centuries in the first two T20Is, but in the final match, batting fifth, he only managed to score eight runs.

Dinesh Karthik came to bat at No. 4 and scored 46 runs in the third and final T20I, which India lost by 49 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav also responded in a lighthearted manner, joking that Dinesh Karthik’s batting performance puts his No. 4 slot in jeopardy.

Suryakumar Yadav joked, “I think No.4 is in jeopardy. The way DK bhai batted.”

India’s team defeated South Africa 2-1 in the three-match T20I series. Prior to then, Australia had been defeated by the same margin by the Rohit-led team.

On October 6, India will leave for Australia to begin their T20 World Cup preparations.
