Jasprit Bumrah will not compete in the ICC T20 World Cup; a replacement will be announced soon.

Jasprit Bumrah was officially disqualified from the 2018 ICC T20 World Cup in Australia on Monday, according to a press release from the BCCI. Due to a back issue, Bumrah had previously been ruled out of the current T20I series against South Africa. The fast bowler, who was unable to play in the Asia Cup, faced Australia in two T20Is last month. His replacement will be announced soon, according to BCCI.

“Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah of Team India has been disqualified from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup roster by the BCCI medical staff. On October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, India will play their T20 World Cup opener against archrival Pakistan.

Last year’s tournament saw a match between the two teams, with Pakistan coming out on top by a margin of 10 wickets.

On Sunday at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, the third T20I of the three-match series will take place between India and South Africa.

Rohit Sharma (captain), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, and Arshdeep Singh are the players for India.
